Valdrada
《Valdrada》 (Ceramic, Brass) This luminaire design by the artist, influenced by Isamu Noguchi's "Akari" light series, explores the expressive potential of ceramic materials. Its form draws inspiration from the reflection-famed city in Italo Calvino's 《Invisible Cities》, featuring a distinctive symmetrical structure:The upper section, crafted from warm Dehua white porcelain with sinuous contours, embodies metaphors of eros, nobility, and fragility. Below, polished brass forms a cold helical structure culminating in a mirror surface. With surgical precision, the brass mirror replicates yet distorts and deconstructs the porcelain morphology above—creating a dialogue between appearance and essence, reality and reflection.A precisely calibrated balance between poetic abstraction and technical specificity
