Breath
This piece is made from white porcelain with subtle color gradients. Through precise hand-building and structural layering, the form becomes a lattice, delicate but stable, allowing light and air to pass through. It consists of two connected forms, both open at the ends. This open structure suggests a quiet rhythm of breath a gentle movement between inside and outside. The color shift across the surface marks a gradual transition from stillness to motion. The work refers to the moment of birth, a shift from being enclosed to becoming separate. The larger form offers a sense of shelter, while the smaller form represents a new presence still held within that space. At its core, the piece reflects on breath as the first link between body and world, and on the structural space that holds and supports that beginning.
