In equilibrium
"In Equilibrium" These pieces emerge from my fascination with balance and movement. Porcelain, alive in the kiln, dances in spirals of red, yellow, blue and celadon as heat shapes its form. I play with multiple supports to achieve—or disrupt—equilibrium, letting the material, with its fragile memory, guide the outcome. My work explores abstraction through vibrant color, light, and composition, drawing inspiration from abstract expressionism. Distorted forms and bold tones aim to startle, while layered marks reveal hidden emotions: the visceral beneath the subtle. Each piece is a record of time, layers, and traces that capture fleeting moments. I move forward and backward, concealing and revealing, like fossilizing memories.
