《Condensed Radiance · Vessel's Bloom》
Using Dehua white porcelain clay as the medium, the work interprets the contemporary female spirit of "softness bearing weight" through the technique of hand-molding flowers. Dehua white porcelain is renowned as "China White", and the smooth and lustrous texture of the clay is akin to the delicate yet resilient essence of women. In the creation process, thousands of ceramic flowers were hand-molded, with each petal's texture following the natural shape of a flower. However, during the assembly into a bottle, a gradient compression technique was employed to cause structural deformation. The cracks along the edges of the petals and the distortion of their arcs mirror the invisible pressure that women endure in their multiple roles in society. The bottle's shape breaks away from traditional vessel forms, using clusters of flowers as the basic unit. Through the tension control of ceramic forming techniques, the contradiction and unity between "individual blooming" and "overall shaping" are achieved. The brokenness of a single flower and the integrity of the bottle form a mirror image, not only showcasing the meticulous detailing of the hand-molding technique but also using the metaphor of "a thousand flowers forming a vessel" to pay tribute to the life aesthetics of women who transform their scars into strength under pressure. This work connects the traditional craftsmanship of Dehua white porcelain with contemporary social issues, making "China White" not only a symbol of material but also a visual carrier of the female spirit.
