My work is a reflection of my close observation and connection with the natural world, its resilience and fragility, while also acknowledging lost links between humanity and nature. No sketches were made beforehand, as I prefer working spontaneously and intuitively. Shapes and lines emerge in a dialogue between matter and tactile momentum, followed by countless hours of adding textures and a lot of small elements. Through this method I was able to get what I was looking for: giving the sparkle and movement of life to my work.
Life is fragile, handle with care is a reference to the world's fragile relationship with nature, how interdependent we all are, and both how reliant we are on biodiversity and how vulnerable we are to its variations. Erosion of biodiversity has now reached a level not seen in hundreds of thousands of years. Human activity is to blame and has become a threat to his own life. All life is precious, and if not handled with care it will end way too soon, just like Life is fragile, handle with care, which is entirely hand-built and made of porcelain and decorated with hundreds of tiny porcelain spikes. Please handle it with care, otherwise it will break.
